Grocery Clerk I.

Reports To:

Center Store Manager. As a Grocery Clerk, your role is to stock shelves, keep products fresh, organize the store, and provide friendly service. You’ll help customers find items quickly, manage inventory, and keep the department clean and welcoming.

• Provide Helpful Service: Offer friendly greetings, answer questions, and address guest concerns with professionalism and care.
• Stock & Display: Load, rotate, and place products in aisles, ensuring items are fresh, in date, and well stocked.
• Offer Assistance: Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor and suggest alternatives.
• Receiving & Inventory Support: Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Grocery Department Manager and associate team to meet goals.
• Clean & Organize: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and tidy department as needed.
• Problem‑Solving: Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
• Meet Goals: Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
• Honor Commitments: Arrive on time, follow schedule, and provide adequate notice for absences.
• Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

• Helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, walk‑behind lifts, balers, and compactors (training provided).

• Must stand for long periods, work in a cooler and walk‑in store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Requires upper‑body motion to lift products and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Ability to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment.
• Lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.

Part‑time. Shift schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.
