Diesel Technician

Position Description

Ryder is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Neenah, Wisconsin — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a Technician career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $26.55 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained (up to $700)
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday; weekends OFF
• Hours:
  
  Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance
• Identify and repair components
• Perform preventive maintenance with training and support
• Carry out facility maintenance duties
• Execute all entry‑level tasks
• Diagnose minor mechanical and electronic problems, using diagnostic computer when applicable
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• One year or more experience in transportation maintenance (preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively
• Work shift and weekend availability as required
• Mechanical aptitude
• Computer skills

• Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
