Position Description
Ryder is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Neenah, Wisconsin offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a technician career you can feel good about.
We want the right Maintenance Repair Mechanic to join our team and work on heavy‑duty vehicles.
Compensation & Benefits- Hourly Pay: $26.55 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, weekends off - Hours:
Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic tools, required
- One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work a shift/weekday schedule/weekends as required, perform all entry‑level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of and ability to apply computer skills
- Some experience in transportation maintenance preferred
- You will be required to drive Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee you must:
- Obtain a CDL within six months after hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor‑vehicle record checks, a road test; and/or badge or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Performs basic vehicle maintenance
- Performs component identification and minor repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance with training and support
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Performs all entry‑level tasks
- Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Performs other related duties as assigned
