We’re seeking a reliable, safety‑focused Material Handler to join our onsite Distribution team. In this role, you’ll rotate between shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment, using technology such as handheld scanners and inventory systems and an order picker to accurately move and process materials. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on our feet throughout the shift.
You will enjoy steady schedules with your choice of either 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Monday–Friday or 6:30 AM–4:30 PM four days per week.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Inspects customer returns and inbound shipments. Enters returns and receipts into inventory system.
- Keeps the product flow-through racks filled on a daily basis.
- Keeps accurate records of any inventory movement.
- Transports, stores and retrieves resale and finished goods and raw materials.
- Prepares stock truck orders for shipment.
- Prepares requisitions and bills of lading.
- Picks, packs, and meters warehouse orders.
- Contributes to a safe work environment by operating equipment in a safe and effective manner and reporting safety incidents/concerns in accordance with corporate policy.
- Works overtime on short notice and adjusts work hours as needed to accommodate business needs.
Experience:
- 1+ year of material handling experience.
- Experience operating lift truck and other material handling equipment.
- Warehousing experience preferred.
- Experience working with warehousing software applications preferred.
Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Other Skills/
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50-pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to operate lift truck and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to ride up in an order picker to height of 21 feet.
- Manual dexterity skills.
Work is performed primarily in a warehousing (industrial production) environment and may involve exposure to high noise levels, material handling equipment, seasonal weather conditions, and other industrial machinery. Work will require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toe footwear.
