Warehouse​/Yard Associate - 2nd Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop safe behaviors and work safely.

• Accurately pick and process orders.
• Current CDL holder (Class
  
  A).
• Complete yard checks for trailer accuracy.
• Operate yard spotter safely and effectively.
• Execute proper trailer movements to eliminate damage to property and follow proper storage procedures.
• Understand and execute customer specifications accurately.
• Read labels and understand trailer loading thoroughly.
• Build pallets for orders based on product knowledge.
• Stack items and pallets accurately based on product characteristics.
• Identify damaged goods and put away or re‑pack items accurately.
• Check equipment and identify hazards to the assigned work area.
• Perform detailed housekeeping duties in the warehouse.
• Troubleshoot and correct shipping documentation.
• Shipping
  • Monitor shipping documents and daily reports to ensure all customer and internal requirements are met.
  • Ensure on‑time and scheduled shipments are met and review freight routings.
  • Operate RF scanners to pick orders and load trailers.
  • Optimize freight loading and shipment consolidation.
• Receiving
  • Ensure proper entry and storage of raw materials.
  • Assist with the daily delivery schedule.
  • Prepare and ship raw material for outside services.
  • Monitor the proper movement of stock into and within the facility.

• 1–2 years of experience preferred; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Current CDL holder (Class
  
  A).
• Clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; any related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a shipping/warehousing environment.
• Possess good math, reading and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift safely.

  • Apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
