Heavy Equipment Operator - Winter Season

Play a vital role at Whitewater Mountain Resort as a Heavy Equipment Operator during the winter season. This full-time position involves operating equipment to ensure safe ski runs.

Reporting to the Grooming Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the resort's surfaces using Snowcats and loaders, while adhering to safety best practices. Your experience will help enhance the guest experience and provide support during emergencies. Working autonomously in varying weather conditions will be essential, so your reliability and commitment to safety are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment for safe condition maintenance

• Ensure ski runs and facilities are accessible and safe

• Perform equipment inspections and routine maintenance

• Collaborate with team on slope conditions and grooming

• Assist in emergency situations on the slopes

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license necessary

• Experience with heavy machinery and snowcats preferred

• Mechanical expertise beneficial for maintenance tasks

• Ability to endure winter work environment

• Flexibility for night shifts and weekend work
