Seeking a Scaffold Supervisor - Nelspruit
Scaffold Supervisor Mid Career (3 - 4 yrs exp) | Contractor | Mpumalanga JOB PURPOSE To supervise, coordinate, and control all scaffolding and temporary works activities on site, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, legally, and in accordance with approved standards, procedures, and risk assessments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS The successful candidate must be in possession of the following valid training and certifications:- Working at Heights
- Scaffold Erector
- Scaffold Supervisor
- Scaffold Inspector
- Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
- Legal Liability
- Confined Space Entry
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Medical Certificate (including Working at Heights)
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Scaffold Supervisor
- Previous experience in construction, shutdown, plant maintenance, or industrial environments
- Sound knowledge of SANS standards, OHSA, and scaffolding regulations
- Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Supervision & Workforce Management
- Equipment, Tools & Materials
- Scaffold Erection, Inspection & Handover
- Temporary Works Compliance
- Planning, Audits & Reporting
- Strong leadership and supervision skills
- Excellent knowledge of scaffolding systems and safety legislation
- Ability to interpret drawings, load calculations, and method statements
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
- Strong communication and reporting skills
