We are currently seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Systems Maintenance Technician to join our specialized field service team in Nelspruit. This role is critical for ensuring the operational integrity of our heavy machinery used in large‑scale construction and mining projects. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex hydraulic circuits, pumps, and cylinders to minimize downtime for our clients.

• Perform advanced diagnostic testing on hydraulic systems using specialized pressure gauges and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Repair and overhaul hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders to manufacturer specifications.
• Interpret complex hydraulic schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot system failures.
• Conduct preventative maintenance schedules on heavy earthmoving equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Collaborate with site managers to coordinate service intervals and minimize operational disruption.
• Maintain accurate service logs and technical reports for every intervention performed.

• Expertise in reading and interpreting hydraulic and mechanical blueprints.

A National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is mandatory. Candidates with specialized certifications in Fluid Power or Hydraulics will be given preference.

A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial hydraulic systems is required. Previous experience working with large‑scale earthmoving or mining machinery is highly advantageous.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges from SSP 450,000 to SSP 620,000, depending on experience and technical proficiency.
