Construction Manager - Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity

Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking a construction manager!

Join our team as our Construction Manager, where you will play an essential role in supporting Neosho Area Habitat for Humanity (NAHAF). This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a strong background in residential construction and exceptional community leadership skills. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact in our community.
Any candidate must to able and willing to work in partnership with Crowder College Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) building trades program. This includes working along side the programs instructors and the enrolled high school students. NAHFH has a multi year partnership with CTEC to give students real world, hands on construction experiences as they assist in all aspects of the construction process.

With a heart for our mission, under the direction of the executive committee, and working closely with the board president and executive director, the Construction Manager has the following core responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities

Project Planning
:
Creating work timetables, setting milestones, and determining the scope of work.

Budget Management
:
Preparing cost estimates, managing expenses, and preventing cost overruns.

Team Supervision
:
Working with CTEC Instructors to oversee students, volunteers, and specialized subcontractors on-site.

Safety & Compliance
:
Enforcing safety rules, using protective gear, and following local building codes. Will need to be OSHA Certified.

Communication
:
Updating the executive director, president, and board of directors on project progress.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Patience & Teaching Ability
: A strong desire to teach trade skills to beginners and adapt to changing volunteer turnouts.

Residential Expertise
:
Comprehensive understanding of single-family wood-frame construction from foundation to finish.

Resourcefulness
:
Ability to maintain building schedules while adapting to unpredictable material donations or volunteer availability.

Certifications
:
Standard site safety certifications (OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Certificate) and a valid driver's license.

Time and

Location:

This is a part time position with flexible hours

Monday - Friday primarily during school hours plus one monthly board meeting

Some evenings and weekends

Job sites are all located in one neighborhood in Neosho, MO
