- At least 36 college credit hours in any subject or completion of a Missouri DESE-approved online substitute training program
- Missouri Teaching License or Substitute Certificate
- Willingness to complete a fingerprint-based background check (contact Penmac before completing this step)
- Completion of required training provided by Penmac
