  • Use evidence-based instructional, behavioral, and communication practices.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Maintain a calm, consistent, and solution-focused approach.
  • Effectively supervise, support, and provide direction to paraprofessionals.
  • Value inclusive practices and support student participation in the broader school community.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Qualifications

  • Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification.

  • Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, crisis-prevention, or other relevant training may be required based on assigned responsibilities.

The position may require assisting students with mobility, positioning, personal-care routines, transitions, de-escalation, and other individualized needs. The employee must maintain confidentiality, follow established safety procedures, and provide appropriate supervision and support to students with a range of abilities and needs.

The Neosho School District is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment in which every student has access to meaningful educational opportunities.
