Penmac Education Staffing is hiring Long-term Substitute Paraprofessionals to support classrooms throughout the Neosho School District. Missouri makes it easier than ever to become a substitute teacher/paraprofessional.

Individuals without 36 college credit hours may qualify by completing an approved 20-hour online Missouri DESE Substitute Teacher Training Program. If you've been considering working in education, this is a great way to get started.

• Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate or Missouri Teaching License
• At least 36 college credit hours in any field or completion of an approved Missouri DESE 20-hour online substitute training program, or a valid Missouri teaching license
• Ability to complete required training provided by Penmac
• Willingness to submit to fingerprinting and a criminal background check (please contact Penmac before completing this step)
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working with students of various ages

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Encourage student participation and classroom involvement
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and outdoor areas
• Maintain classroom expectations and ensure student safety
• Adapt activities when needed to support student success
• Communicate professionally with school staff and administration
