Reports To:

Building Principal/Supervisor, or other administrator if needed Effective date: 9/1/2026 Salary Range: $ 134.00 per diem (pending negotiations)

Position Summary:

The above substitute School Safety Officers positions are available for the  school year.

Qualifications:

• Background in law enforcement safety and/or security preferred
• Experience in working with students and parents
• Ability to work cooperatively with school personnel
• Reliable, trustworthy and show the ability to handle disruptive situations with students
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance
• Required physical and drug test offered free of charge

Skills:

Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.

Evaluation of Performance:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
