WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Neptune, NJ.

Job Function:

• Night Shift.
• 3x12: 7pm-7:30am.
• Categorizes patients in the appropriate level of classification.
• Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.
• Implements intervention appropriately based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor.
• Identifies emergency situations, observes age and notifies provider accordingly.
• Administers medication according to the 5 rights of safety and infection control guidelines and or per Provider's orders.
• Screens patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines.
• Assists the physicians/midwife during a delivery

Job Requirements:

• Required:
  
  3 years of RN experience.

• Preferred: 5 years of RN experience.

• Unit
  
  Note:
  
  LDRP unit — nurses may receive labor or postpartum assignments depending on need.

• Specialty Requirement:
  Minimum 1 year of experience in a related specialty.

• Active NJ RN License or multistate compact license.

• NRP- required

• Required:
  
  ASN.

• Preferred: BSN.
