Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse specializing in Mother Baby/Postpartum provides comprehensive postpartum nursing care to new mothers and their infants. They collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal recovery and maternal-infant bonding.

Responsibilities:

• Assess postpartum patients and newborns to determine their care needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs.
• Perform therapeutic interventions including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with breastfeeding support.
• Document patient progress and clinical interventions accurately following standards of care.
• Educate new mothers about postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support innovations in postpartum and neonatal care.
  
  Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of mother-baby or postpartum nursing experience.
• Hold an ASN with a preferred BSN degree.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey or hold a multi-state compact license.
• Valid BLS (AHA), NRP certifications, and AWHONN-Advanced or C-EFM certification.
• Demonstrate strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient education skills.
