Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby / Postpartum specialty provides comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns. They evaluate patient needs, implement individualized care plans, and support maternal-infant health and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions through initial and ongoing evaluations to identify nursing needs.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate personalized care plans for postpartum patients and their newborns.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
• Document patient care accurately, adhering to standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and support innovations in postpartum and neonatal care.
• Manage patient care efficiently, ensuring safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey or with a multi-state compact license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NRP certification required for neonatal resuscitation.
• Minimum of 3+ years of Mother Baby or postpartum nursing experience.
• Possess an ASN degree; BSN preferred.
• Strong knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and neonatal care.
