KWS has the ambition to be a leader in the global red beet market. As our Account Manager Red Beet Europe, you'll be an important stakeholder in realizing this objective. This role means you are at the heart of a dynamic international market, connecting growers, processors, retailers with our internal KWS-organization. You will not just build relationships, but you are an important key-player in our organization to drive strategic ambitions and provide input for our Portfolio, Pricing and Positioning of our differentiating traits and concepts.
You bring insights from the value chain into our strategy. This means that you are able translate retail and food-trends into strategic objectives and align with your colleagues of your Red Beet Global Customer Team. You can identify where we can create value, and help ensure that our red beet portfolio lands where it makes the biggest impact. To be successful in this aspect you need to be able to understand the value of our traits and solutions, meaning that you understand growing red beets.
Red Beet is a strategic crop in KWS and being able to collaborate with our big brother KWS Sugar Beet, gives us as KWS Vegetables lot’s of opportunities. You’ll be the voice of the market within KWS and play a key role in strengthening our position in red beet across Europe. Hands-on, commercial, and always focused on building long-term partnerships and sustainable growth.
Your responsibilities
Develop and execute account and market plans in line with the Red Beet strategy
Build and maintain strategic relationships across the red beet value chain
Connect customers, partners and internal stakeholders to deliver impact together
Lead market intelligence activities and identify emerging trends, customer needs, competitive developments and growth opportunities.
Drive adoption of innovative traits, concepts and integrated solutions throughout the value chain.
Identify growth opportunities and strengthen KWS’ market position in red beet
Use Salesforce as the foundation for account management
Skills & experience
A real Teamplayer: work with stakeholders of product management, breeding, seed-tech, operations and supply on joint objectives
B.S. In Business, Commercial, Agronomy, Horticulture
5+ years of experience in vegetable seeds
Strong understanding of vegetable production, fresh supply chains and market dynamics
Experience in account management, sales or market development roles
Comfortable working with data and tools such as Salesforce and Power BI
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20-30%)
Curious, entrepreneurial, energetic, solution mindset and taking ownership
