The President serves as the chief executive officer of the College and provides visionary, mission-driven leadership consistent with the values and heritage of the College and the Sisters of Mercy. As the administrative and cultural leader, the President is responsible for ensuring academic excellence, financial integrity, institutional advancement, student centricity, and the holistic formation of students in the health sciences disciplines.

The President represents the College to internal and external constituencies, guiding it toward continued growth, innovation, and service to the community in alignment with the Mercy tradition of compassion, service, justice, and respect for the dignity of every person.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• A record of success working in an academic leadership role.
• Preferred: A current professional license or certification in his or her discipline as applicable.
• Ability to demonstrate communication and counseling skills.
• Initiative, judgment, and leadership.
• Professional growth and commitment to participation in community and student activities.
• Proficiency in directing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating activities.
