Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support daily payment processing and invoicing activities for a Contract position based in Verdi, Nevada. This role focuses on maintaining accurate receivables records, applying customer payments, and helping ensure orders move forward without unnecessary delays. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling billing tasks, payment reconciliation, and commercial collections in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process daily credit card deposits through designated payment platforms and ensure transactions are recorded accurately each morning.

- Create invoices for fulfilled orders and complete afternoon billing activities in a timely and accurate manner.

- Apply Pay Pal receipts, customer wire transfers, and other incoming payments to the appropriate accounts and open balances.

- Monitor orders placed on hold, verify payment status, and coordinate release once account issues are resolved.

- Investigate payment disputes, document chargebacks, and update account records to reflect any adjustments or reversals.

- Void same-day card transactions for canceled orders and maintain accurate documentation of canceled payments.

- Receive and post customer check payments while keeping cash application records current and balanced.

- Review invoices for needed corrections, including tax adjustments, credits, discounts, or other billing updates.

Requirements - Experience working in accounts receivable, including payment posting, invoicing, and account reconciliation.

- Background in commercial collections and following up on outstanding customer balances.

- Working knowledge of cash application processes across multiple payment methods.

- Ability to manage billing functions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Comfortable handling chargebacks, payment disputes, and transaction adjustments.

- Proficiency with standard accounting systems and payment processing platforms.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize recurring daily deadlines.
