Job Description
Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). MSTS is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Specialist I to support BOP and DAF construction personnel. The ideal candidate will assist in managing various administrative functions, providing critical support to ensure the efficient operation of business and technical processes, programs, and projects.
- Utilize discretion and independent judgment to assist management in planning, coordinating, and directing office management functions within the organizational unit.
- Assist management in planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of office management functions within the organizational unit to relieve administrative detail related to business and technical operations, processes, programs, and projects.
- Schedule and manage training, prepare training reports and physical schedules, ensuring compliance with training requirements for all personnel.
- Provide guidance and training to support personnel, students, contractors and other support personnel as required to complete assignments.
- Perform administrative activities related to business and technical operations, including planning and coordinating office functions.
- Engage with peers across various work groups to share information and foster collaboration.
- Provide guidance and training to support personnel, interns, and contractors to complete assignments effectively.
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents using business software, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Conduct searches for needed information, compile data, and prepare presentations for management consideration.
- Strong ability to remember policies, procedures, and other critical details relevant to the role.
- Train staff on computer usage and assist with technical issues as needed.
- Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
- Assist in coordinating safety and security requirements for the team.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Aid in the preparation, analysis, and fiscal control of operating budgets related to training expenditures.
- Record management assessments or investigations as necessary.
- Oversee space assignments for the construction department to optimize resource utilization.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and experience.
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
