Category Administration DescriptionThe Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is seeking a professional and customer-focused Part-Time Office Assistant to join our team in Silver Springs, Nevada. In this role, you will support a dynamic team of engineers dedicated to designing, developing, manufacturing, and testing innovative automotive and mobility solutions. As the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and professional workplace environment.

PositionSummary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests, vendors, job applicants, employees, and incoming telephone inquiries. In this role, the Receptionist is responsible for providing accurate information and exceptional customer service in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner, both in person and over the phone.
As the face of the organization, the Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive first impression and maintaining a professional atmosphere within the company's lobby and reception areas. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, exceptional customer service, and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, build rapport, and maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and guests at all organizational levels.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to effectively prioritize responsibilities and support daily business operations.
This position also provides administrative and office support to various departments, assisting with daily operations, special projects, and other duties as needed.
Essential Functions- Receives and routes a high volume of calls through the main business line.
- Tracks, logs and updates incoming call information into customer database.
- Courteously and professionally greets and checks in guests, customers, vendors and applicants according to established guidelines and security procedures.
- Notifies HR when an employee makes a request for information or a meeting.
- Prints badges for employees, guests, and vendors as needed.
- Accurately maintains daily visitor log and company customer database.
- Coordinates and places company office orders according to established procedures.
- Verifies weekly carpool and sends report to payroll.
- Provides monthly copier meter readings to leasing company.
- Distributes and prepares incoming and outgoing fax documents as requested.
- Assists in the accurate distribution of information to employees and customers.
- Handles special administrative projects, as well as overflow work from department and administrative staff, including word processing, data entry and internet research tasks.
- Implement test activity announcement procedures.
- Assorted clerical duties such as photocopying and binding, laminating, shredding, and filing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assists with duties of other personnel as needed.
- Assists with applicants and new hire processes.
- Assists in all areas of main office and special projects.
$40,000 - $45,000
Position RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have proficient computer skills. Typical programs include Microsoft applications, and Lotus Notes.
- Must be proficient in the use of office equipment.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and actively listen to thoughts and ideas of others.
