The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is recruiting for a part-time (50% FTE) Administrative Assistant 3 position for the Pershing County Extension Office. This position is located in Lovelock, Nevada.
The Administrative Assistant 3 provides administrative support to the Pershing County Extension Office. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, managing the county extension office, providing program support through fiscal management (i.e., County Program, Workday), budget and financial recordkeeping, grant management, program marketing and promotion, travel support, assisting with Extension activities, and reception duties.
Essential Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities;
OR - One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
This position requires candidates to complete a fingerprinting/background check.
A valid Class "C" driver's license or higher operator's license within 30 days of appointment.
Schedule and Travel
20 hours per week, schedule to be discussed upon hire; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. Some nights and/or weekends may be required based on programming needs.
Depending on programming needs, some travel around the Pershing County area may be required.
Compensation
Grade 27 (Entry, Step 01 $ 22.13/hr)
