Position Summary
The Automotive Technician is a vital member of our automotive service team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include hands‑on learning and assisting in routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair procedures. The technician may also interact with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.
PayPay Range: $18.38 – $27.62 per hour. Compensation is flat‑rate, rewarding technicians with a predetermined amount for each eligible task. Rates reflect average productivity by region. A sign‑on bonus of $2,000 is available for new teammates.
Responsibilities- Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
- Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Install batteries and check electrical systems.
- Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
- Road test vehicles.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1 – A8 within the first two years of employment. The company pays tests and registration fees, and a bonus is awarded for each test passed.
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections, tire repair, reading, writing, and math skills.
- At least 2 years of automotive repair experience.
- Completion of a vocational‑technical school program in a related field or demonstration of skills via third‑party certificates or assessments.
- Current A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting Day1 for all teammates.
