Position SummarySenior Technician – responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, providing technical leadership, and mentoring a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Pay Range: $19.57 - $42.36 per hour, based on a flat‑rate performance‑based compensation model.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
- Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brakes and hydraulic systems, steering & suspension, and alignments.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where required.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- At least 3 years of automotive repair experience.
- Demonstrated skills via third‑party assessments or certifications, or completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 certification acceptable).
