Pay rate(6+ months experience)
  • $19-$23 per hour base pay
  • Up to 6% commission
  • Typical combined earnings of $25-$30+ per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lube & Oil Technician at Big O Tires, you'll be a key part of our service team, helping customers keep their vehicles running safely and reliably. In this role, you'll perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, and other light automotive services while working alongside experienced technicians. We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a strong work ethic, and takes pride in delivering quality service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oil changes and routine maintenance services
  • Tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and flat repairs
  • Brake and suspension repairs
  • TPMS diagnostics and calibration
  • Battery testing and installation
  • Wheel installation and balancing
  • Inventory stocking and shop organization
  • Test-driving vehicles after service when needed
  • Following all safety procedures and participating in ongoing training QUALIFICATIONS
    • Valid driver's license
    • Must be at least 18+ years old
    • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
    • Reliable transportation to work
    • Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
    • Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
    • Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
    • Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
    • Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
    • Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
    • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
