Douglas County Community Services is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to fill the role of Recreation Aide. Ensuring a safe, clean, and fun environment for youth recreation, the Recreation Aide takes an active role in preparing and leading various craft activities, games, and programs. If you are an individual who enjoys working in an energetic and active environment where strong people-skills are a must, have experience working with children, and understand the importance of ensuring safety-first fun, this could be the right fit for you.
This recruitment is intended to fill vacancies at the Douglas County Community and Senior Center - Valley recreation location. Positions are 19 hours or less per week and do not qualify for benefits.
Primary ObjectivesPerforms work assisting in the conduct of recreation activities at assigned and/or designated recreation facilities; performs related tasks as apparent or assigned.
This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Supervision ExercisedNone
- Experience working with children; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Must be at least 16 years of age at date of employment
- First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen, CPR, and AED certification within six (6) months of date of employment

- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force.
