Position Summary

This stipend position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of Mineral County School District's use of the NFHS Network platform and related event operations. The NFHS Coordinator oversees event streaming, scheduling within the broadcast system, promotion, and operational compliance related to the digital broadcasting of interscholastic athletics and performing arts activities.

This position supports education-based activities by enhancing student opportunities, increasing community engagement, and promoting school events through high-quality digital broadcasting and communication. The NFHS Coordinator works closely with administration, Athletic Directors, coaches, advisors, technology staff, students, and community partners to support safe, well-organized event operations in accordance with district procedures and applicable activity regulations. The NFHS Coordinator reports directly to the Mineral County High School Principal.

This is a supplemental duty assignment. Responsibilities associated with this role are to be performed outside of the employee's regular contracted duties and workday unless otherwise approved by the supervisor

This position does not replace or supersede the authority of the Athletic Director but serves as a coordination, operations, broadcast, and event support role to ensure efficient execution and promotion of school activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented with other duties as assigned by the supervisor, which does not conflict with MCSD policies and administrative regulations.

Platform & Broadcast Management

* Serves as the primary district liaison with the NFHS Network and related support teams.

* Oversees operation, scheduling, and quality control of broadcast equipment, including Pixellot cameras and related streaming technology.

* Coordinates event creation, updates, and corrections within NFHS platforms and

* associated systems.

* Troubleshoots technical issues and coordinates with district technology staff or NFHS support for resolution.

* Monitors platform analytics and prepares reports on viewership, engagement, and performance trends.

* Assists with inventory tracking, equipment oversight, and documentation related to NFHS broadcast assets, streaming technology, and associated event equipment.

Scheduling & Event Operations

* Maintains and updates the NFHS Network event calendar to reflect schedules provided by Athletic Directors and activity sponsors.

* Coordinates with event staff to ensure broadcast readiness for home and away events.

* Supports logistical coordination related to event broadcasting, including facilities access, camera setup, and technical readiness.

* Assists in promoting special events such as senior nights, tournaments, and recognition events through broadcast platforms.

Promotion, Media & Community Engagement

* Develops promotional strategies to increase attendance, viewership, and community awareness of school events.

* Creates and edits promotional materials (graphics, flyers, short videos, social media content).

* Collaborates with student media groups and staff to support student involvement in broadcasting and media production.

* Engages with booster clubs, local businesses, and community partners to build support and sponsorship opportunities.

Compliance, Safety & Leadership

* Supports adherence to NFHS Network usage guidelines and district procedures related to event broadcasting, digital media, and public communications.

* Collaborates with Athletic Directors and site administration to support compliance with activity regulations as they relate to event broadcasting and promotion.

* Supports training for coaches, staff, and students related to NFHS platforms, event expectations, and sportsmanship.

* Represents the district at meetings related to activities, scheduling, or NFHS

programming as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

Desired Skills/Experience/Education

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each requirement satisfactorily.

* Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and experience in event operations, broadcasting, digital media, or school activities management.

* Experience with school athletics, activities programs, event management, or digital media systems highly desirable.

* Experience working with streaming, audiovisual, or broadcasting platforms preferred.
