Role DescriptionThis contract, on-site Audio Visual Technician role is based in Stateline, NV at one of the premier casinos. The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and striking AV equipment for live events, meetings, and presentations. Day-to-day tasks include configuring audio systems, video displays, projectors, and lighting fixtures according to event specifications, as well as testing and fine-tuning equipment to ensure optimal performance.
The technician will monitor AV systems during events, respond to issues in real time, and troubleshoot technical problems quickly to minimize disruption. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with event planners and other production staff, maintaining an organized inventory of AV equipment, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Audio Visual (AV) Systems setup, operation, and basic configuration for live events and meetings.
- Strong A2 skills recommended to mix basic bands in the casino's night venues.
- Strong Troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and related hardware for hybrid or remote event support.
- Hands-on experience with Lighting systems, including fixture placement, basic programming, and show operation.
- Practical knowledge of Projectors, including mounting, alignment, focus, and signal routing.
- Ability to read and follow event briefs, diagrams, and technical drawings; strong attention to detail and organization.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach when interacting with clients and presenters.
- Capability to lift and move AV equipment and work on feet for extended periods, following safe work practices.
- Prior experience in live events, hospitality, or entertainment environments is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
