Join Our Team as a Locum Physician in General Medicine – Nevada
Are you a dedicated general medicine physician seeking flexible, meaningful work serving Veterans across Nevada? We are actively recruiting passionate providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a rewarding, non-treatment capacity. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, including physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, without prescribing or providing treatment. You will work in your own office location within designated areas, offering ongoing PRN engagement with scheduled days that accommodate your availability.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Nevada
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields
- Experience with disability or Compensation & Pension evaluations preferred
- Strong interviewing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic physical assessments
- Reliable, professional, and committed to quality care
Skills:
- Prior experience with VA or government contracts
- Certification in medical assessments or related credentials
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission processes
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine
- Prior experience conducting VA or military-related evaluations is advantageous
- Own a suitable office space within the specified radius of Nevada locations
- Travel is included in compensation; no additional reimbursement for certifications or portal training
- Must complete onboarding and credentials quickly to begin servicing Veterans
