Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Doctor of Optometry who believes in eyecare within the healthcare system. This OD is tech-savvy and people-focused, leading the way by helping us lead the industry in comprehensive eye care. The Chief Clinical Optometrist will lead the practice while helping develop other ODs into leaders. There are many opportunities for career growth including practice ownership with Visionworks and VSP Vision.

This new opportunity will be located in Sacramento, CA and is opening in August of 2023. If you’re relocating, Sacramento has great weather, is very affordable and a short drive to Tahoe, the Bay Area, and Wine Country. This is a unique opportunity to be mentored by one of the most well-known optometric leaders in the industry—Dr. Rupe Hansra.

Visionworks Doctors of Optometry enjoy the benefits of being a Doctor in a patient-centric environment. Visionworks handles all insurance billing and credentialing. Our primary care practices believe in providing comprehensive eye care for patients, including routine exams, contact lens evaluations, and medical treatment for eye diseases. All offices include state-of-the-art equipment, including Optos California, Topcon Digital phoropters, Eyefinity EMR (on an iPad), and Henson 9000 Visual Field Analyzer.

OD techs will help work up patients and provide Contact Lens training.

As part of Visionworks “#Oneteam”, you’ll practice full-time (or part-time) providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, and visual and medical conditions. You’ll perform patient examinations, recommend vision-enhancing solutions based on prescription findings, handle eye emergencies, and collaborate with staff members to help deliver our commitment to improving access to healthcare.

Optometrists with an entrepreneurial spirit dedicated to patient care who strongly desire to help grow the business long-term. Candidates should have excellent clinical and people skills.
