Qualifications:
Hold or qualify for Nevada Administrative Certificate. Prefer, but not limited to, three (3) years public school administrative experience

Act as an Instructional Leader for the school under the leadership of the principal. A person who will maintain high expectations, value individuality and use influence wisely with students, staff, and community members. A person who will respect and value parents' knowledge of their children, recognize parental contributions, encourage parental involvement and communicate with them in an open, honest and positive manner.
A person who models personal and professional excellence, values diversity and can demonstrate respect, loyalty, compassion and trust, and recognizes and praises the contributions of all staff members. A facilitator who will empower staff, be innovative and flexible, and possess knowledge of current educational trends. A true participative leader who will make all decisions based on the school and district's mission and vision.
Ensure close and meaningful ties with the District Office. Understanding of SEL, NVACS, NSPF, NEPF, and Special Education.
DEAN OF STUDENTS

DEFINITION:
The Dean of Students works with the Principal in carrying out the school's academic and behavior programs. As a professional educator the Dean of Students understands and responds to the challenges presented by today's diverse student population.
The Dean of Students provides proactive leadership, under the leadership of the Principal, to engage all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to support the students' academic achievement, as well as personal and social development.
The Dean of Students works cooperatively with the principal, counselor, nurse, staff, students and parents towards a positive school climate.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives direct supports and direction from the School Principal.
Provide direct supervision of Site Based Classified Personnel.
Provide academic supports, under the direction of the Principal, to Site Based Certified Personnel.

* Morning and Evening Bus Duty Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
* Effective instructional practices
* Student disciplinary procedures
* Basic expectations under the Nevada Education Performance Framework (NEPF)
* School Performance Plan (SPP) development, implementation and evaluation
* Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation for Classified Staff
Ability to:
* Supervise, train and evaluate Classified Staff
* Effectively support new and struggling teachers
* Effectively interact with students, parents and staff
* Work in collaboration with the Site Administrator
* Allocate limited resources in a cost effective manner
* Understand and analyze instructional data
EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION:
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching as a fully certified teacher. Prior experience in supervisory roles and positions a plus.
Certification:
Current Nevada Teaching License
Current Nevada Administrative License preferred but not required
SALARY:
Based upon the HCSD certified salary schedule plus 10 additional days.
