Description
Substitute Teacher (Northern Nye Schools). Locations:
Amargosa, Beatty, Gabbs, Round Mountain, Tonopah. On-call. Funding Source:
General Fund. Rate: $170.00 per day or $20.00 per hour.
Provide instruction in the classroom when teachers are absent for any of a variety of reasons.
Qualifications- Must pass a reference check and drug and alcohol testing.
- Must obtain a Substitute Teacher License from the Nevada Department of
Education: - Applicants must have 60 college credits to be eligible for a Certified Substitute Teacher license.
- Applicants who have not earned 60 college credits must have an HS diploma or equivalent to be eligible for an Emergency Substitute Teacher license.
- Must complete two days of classroom observations.
Office or suitable workspace with desk, telephone, computer, and supplies necessary to carry out functions of position description.
