Wallowa County ESD is seeking a Preschool Instructional Assistant to support the Enterprise Preschool classroom. This position works directly with the classroom teacher to support student learning, classroom routines, child supervision, positive behavior supports, and a safe and inclusive preschool environment. The Instructional Assistant helps implement developmentally appropriate activities and supports children s social, emotional, and instructional needs in accordance with Preschool Promise, Oregon Early Learning Guidelines, Spark, USDA, and Wallowa ESD policies.
Responsibilities- Support student learning and classroom routines in a preschool setting.
- Provide child supervision and maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
- Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Preschool Promise and Early Learning Guidelines.
- Support children s social-emotional development and positive behavior supports in accordance with policies.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Applicants must meet instructional assistant qualification standards through higher education, an associate degree, or qualifying Work Keys assessment scores.
- ORO Safety Set coursework and Pyramid Model training are expected upon hire or over time.
