Assistant Professor in Planning, Designing and Evaluating Public Transport

Lund University, LTH, Lund University was founded in 1666 and is repeatedly ranked among the world's top universities. The University has around 46,000 students and 8,500 staff based in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö. We are united in our efforts to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition.

LTH, Faculty of Engineering, is recruiting an assistant professor in planning, designing and evaluating public transport.

Description of the Workplace

Transport and Roads is a division of the Department of Technology and Society. We have around 40 employees and our offices are located in V-huset on LTH campus. You will mainly be working in the research group Rail and Public Transport, with approximately ten employees, both teachers and PhD students. We conduct research about public transport from several perspectives, with focus on increasing its attractiveness, capacity, and punctuality.

The group's starting point is that climate change is our generation's major challenge, and the transport sector accounts for approximately one third of emissions. Rail and public transport services are green and high-capacity means of transport that have great potential to make a positive contribution to the transition to a fossil-free and energy-efficient society.

We offer a supportive and inclusive work environment with many possibilities to personal growth. More about the research group can be found at Lund University's Research Portal.
