Substitute Teacher

Job Goal:
To provide instruction in the classroom when teachers are absent for any of a variety of reasons.

Qualifications:

Must pass a reference check and drug and alcohol testing. Must obtain a Substitute Teacher License from the Nevada Department of

Education:

Applicants must have 60 college credits to be eligible for a Certified Substitute Teacher license. Applicants who have not earned 60 college credits must have a high school diploma or equivalent to be eligible for an Emergency Substitute Teacher license. Must complete two days of classroom observations.

Working Conditions:

Office or suitable workspace with desk, telephone, computer, and supplies necessary to carry out the functions of the position description.
