Denio Elementary School Elem Ed Teacher
- Grades K-8 )

Qualifications:

Must hold the proper certification and endorsements as required by the State Board of Education; pursuing all elementary subjects endorsement.
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Job Goal:

Candidates must have a commitment to lifelong learning, a willingness to participate in professional development, and a dedication to meeting the differentiated needs of all students, including special education, English Language Learners, and gifted students.

Performance Responsibilities:

Implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, projects, and communicating these objectives to students.

Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs and abilities of students.

Prepare for assigned classes and provide written evidence of preparation upon request.

Identify students with learning problems and seek assistance from District specialists as needed.

Assist administration in upholding school rules and developing classroom behavior procedures, maintaining a fair and just environment.

Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records and inventories as required by law and District policy.

Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities by taking necessary precautions.

Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.

Be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside instructional hours when required or requested.

Attend and participate in faculty meetings.

Cooperate with staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.

Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and instructional materials.

Maintain cooperative relations with colleagues and other stakeholders.

Accept shared responsibility for co-curricular activities upon request.

Engage in ongoing professional growth through reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced coursework.

Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the principal in a supplemental job description.
