Located on the Walker Lane trend in Esmeralda County, Nevada, about 30 miles south of Tonopah, the Goldfield District Project can be accessed via U.S. Highway 95 from Las Vegas or Reno. This project is an under explored property in a prolific mining jurisdiction that provides substantial upside potential. Goldfield is a conventional open-pit, heap leach project currently proceeding with development and construction after completing a technical study in August 2025.
The project has an approximate mine life of 7-years and first production is expected by the end of 2028, adding to Centerra’s near-term gold production profile. Goldfield District Project promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician, Security to join our Goldfield Project team located in Goldfield, Nevada
. Reporting to the Superintendent, Safety and Security, the Technician, Security is responsible for controlling and monitoring site access and security, checking in and verifying contractors and visitors, as well as monitoring and directing incoming calls.
- Perform all required functions effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
- Operate the main communication hub for emergency notifications/situations.
- Receive incoming calls and transfer accordingly.
- Monitor multiple communication devices continuously while on duty.
- Know the Mayday process, and response personnel on site.
- Control access to the mine premises and monitor main gate cameras for security purposes.
- Maintain accurate on-site personnel attendance.
- Learn and be familiar with employees and employees’ duties for relaying information.
- Log all traffic in/out of the mine site (contractors, vendors, deliveries, visitors).
- Provide basic site-specific awareness.
- Perform vehicle inspections as needed, and randomly.
- Weigh shipments onto/off the mine site, direct as needed.
- Conduct onsite drug/alcohol testing.
- Work independently; proficiency in computer skills.
- Must be safety conscious and abide by established safety rules and regulations.
- Confidentiality is required.
- Be a self-starter and team-oriented, flexible, and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Read and interpret documents including safety rules, chemical safety labels, and procedure manuals (Security Procedure Manual).
- Communicate effectively (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with peers and supervision.
- Be detail-oriented and maintain a clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High school diploma or GED.
- EMT certification is preferred.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
