The Mine Surveyor provides accurate, timely, and high-quality survey support to mining operations, engineering, geology, and planning. This role supports open-pit mining, heap leach operations, drill programs, and UAV-based survey activities using GNSS, total station, and drone technologies. McEwen Mining is seeking a skilled Mine Surveyor, while remaining open to training the right candidate who demonstrates strong aptitude, work ethic, and commitment to safety.
Operational/ Technical Responsibilities
- Mine Surveying & Field Work:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly mine surveys. - Operate Trimble GNSS, Total Stations, Trimble Access.
- Drill hole staking and verification.
- Contractor drill monitoring.
- Pit inspections.
- Operate DJI Matrice 350 with P1 and L2 payloads.
- Process data in DJI Terra and Pix4D.
- FAA Part 107 compliance.
- Trimble GNSS, Trimble Access, TBC.
- Trimble Total Station.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D, Deswik.
- UAV photogrammetry and LiDAR.
- FAA Part 107 Certificate or ability to obtain.
- Valid Driver’s License.
