Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (Program Oversight & Design)

  • Designs, oversees, and continuously improves the predictive maintenance program, including establishing inspection schedules and identifying equipment for inclusion.
  • Evaluates predictive maintenance methodologies and determines appropriate applications based on equipment criticality and reliability objectives.
  • Determines the selection, calibration requirements, and appropriate use of predictive testing equipment.
  • Provides technical leadership and instruction to maintenance technicians and other employees on predictive maintenance techniques, procedures, and processes; evaluates performance against established standards.
  • Applies advanced predictive tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) to assess equipment condition and anticipate failures.
  • Interprets and analyzes collected data to refine predictive maintenance strategies and adjust program parameters.
Troubleshooting & Technical Analysis
  • Provides technical oversight and guidance for diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues within the predictive maintenance program.
  • Performs and leads root cause analyses to identify systemic issues and develops recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Responsibilities Corrective Maintenance (Technical Recommendations)
  • Evaluates equipment condition and recommends repair, replacement, or restoration strategies to meet operational and reliability standards.
  • Develops and standardizes documentation practices, data collection methodologies, and analytical tools to support maintenance and reliability objectives.
Maintenance Practices & Subject Matter Expertise
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for industry best practices related to safety, reliability, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Establishes standards and provides technical guidance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Partners with engineering, operations, and reliability teams to support equipment performance, asset management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares and delivers detailed analytical reports on equipment performance, maintenance effectiveness, and program outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor's degree and technical or specialized training highly preferred.
  • CMRT certification (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, or related technical roles requiring independent judgment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and applicable safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
Required Certification & Professional Competency
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), accredited by ANAB under ISO/IEC 17024.
  • Demonstrated professional-level competency in the four CMRT domains:
  • Maintenance Practices
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting & Analysis
  • Corrective Maintenance
Desired Skills
  • Multicraft technical expertise (mechanical, electrical, welding, fluid power).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
