The Test Technician III leads advanced testing processes and provides mentorship to junior technicians. They are responsible for developing and optimizing testing protocols and often interface with customers and suppliers to address technical concerns. This role requires significant experience and expertise in troubleshooting complex systems.
Responsibilities- Lead advanced testing processes.
- Develop and optimize testing protocols.
- Interface with customers and suppliers for technical issues.
- Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering to enhance product quality.
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the implementation of new testing methodologies.
- Review and update test plans and procedures as needed.
- Assist in training and onboarding new technicians.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- You Must Have:
- Associate’s degree in a related field of study.
- 3+ years’ experience as a technician or in a related field. (In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.)
- Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
- Thorough understanding of test concepts and techniques.
- Progressive experience with standard laboratory test, calibration, and other measurement equipment.
- We Prefer:
- Associate’s degree with a focus on Electronics.
- Familiarity with MIL Standard 810 Test Standards.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance.
- Perform testing processes on equipment, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
- Analyze and document test results, spending significant time on computers.
- Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
- Ability to travel may be required.
