Engineering Technician

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in our Las Vegas, Nevada office.

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The role includes modifying and creating design plans and drawings using CAD programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.

• Use standard drafting practices and procedures with a strong attention to detail to assist with tasks related to engineering and construction projects.
• Modify and create design plans and drawings using CAD programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.
• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings.
• Apply Westwood CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
• Work with extreme precision and accuracy in creating design drawings.
• Plot and check drawings.
• Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.

• Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
• Attention to detail, self‑motivated, and a team player.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
• Willingness to learn and grow is a must.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Design skills and knowledge.
• Experience with applications (Infra Works, SITEOPS, BIM, Revit, Auto Turn, Auto Desk 360, etc.).
• 1‑5 years of industry experience.
