As a Sensors Engineer, Product Performance Engineering
- Electrical, you are supporting and sustaining Bently Nevada sensor technologies throughout their lifecycle. You are performing sensor characterization, troubleshooting, testing, and engineering support activities to ensure reliable product performance and manufacturing continuity. You are working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product teams to investigate issues, improve processes, and maintain the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Sensors Engineer, Product Performance Engineering
- Electrical, you are being responsible for:
  • Supporting Bently Nevada sensor products through characterization, testing, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Evaluating sensor performance and identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations by investigating production issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conducting root cause investigations and recommending solutions for technical and product performance concerns.
  • Supporting sensor-related software tools, laboratory equipment, and reference standards used for characterization, calibration, and validation.
  • Performing laboratory testing and engineering analysis to validate sensor designs and product performance.
  • Analyzing performance data and applying statistical techniques to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives that strengthen product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintaining technical documentation, engineering records, reports, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Required Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Have 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Have experience supporting sensor products, sensor manufacturing, or instrumentation technologies.
  • Have strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Have experience working in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Required Skills
  • Have experience with Bently Nevada sensor products, including eddy-current and non-eddy-current technologies.
  • Have experience supporting sensor manufacturing and production issue resolution.
  • Have the ability to independently select and operate sensor laboratory equipment and test systems.
  • Have strong analog electronics, signal conditioning, and measurement system fundamentals.
  • Have experience characterizing and evaluating sensor performance.
  • Have programming experience supporting engineering tools, automation, or data analysis activities.
  • Have experience applying statistical analysis and modeling techniques to engineering problems.
  • Have strong technical documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Have demonstrated ability to independently identify, prioritize, and execute technical work with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Have proximity probe system expertise.
  • Have experience with accelerometers, velocity sensors, or industrial instrumentation.
  • Have machinery protection or condition monitoring experience.
  • Have experience developing automated test systems.
  • Have experience with Python, MATLAB, C#, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.
