The casino features a variety of gaming experiences, including table games like Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette, alongside roughly 200 slot machines. Originally a historic landmark from the 1940s, the property underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2003, preserving its legacy while modernizing its amenities. Guests also enjoy luxurious accommodations at the adjacent Border House, which combines historic charm with modern comfort.
The Cage Manager is responsible for the secure, accurate, and efficient operation of all cage and vault activities at Crystal Bay Casino. This role oversees cash handling, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and financial controls, ensuring the highest level of integrity while delivering a seamless guest and internal service experience. The Cage Manager plays a critical role in protecting company assets and maintaining compliance with all Nevada gaming regulations.
Key Responsibilities Cash Operations & Controls- Oversee all cage and vault transactions, including chips, currency, markers, and ticket redemption
- Ensure accuracy of daily bankroll, fills, credits, and end-of-shift balancing
- Maintain strict internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Review and approve large transactions, jackpots, and credit instruments
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise cage cashiers, vault staff, and supervisors
- Establish performance expectations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and professionalism
- Ensure full compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations and internal controls
- Maintain detailed records of all cage transactions and audits
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Ensure efficient and courteous service for guests at the cage
- Resolve guest issues related to transactions, disputes, or discrepancies
- Partner with slot, table games, and accounting teams to support operational needs

- Work closely with surveillance and security teams to monitor suspicious activity
- Enforce AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and Title 31 compliance procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of currency transactions (CTR/SAR as required)
- 3–5+ years of casino cage or cash operations experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of cage procedures, cash handling, and internal controls
- Working knowledge of Nevada gaming regulations and Title 31/AML requirements
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with casino management systems and cage software preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fast-paced casino environment requiring time on the floor and in office settings
