Washoe Barton Medical Clinic dba Carson Valley Health, located in Gardnerville, NV, needs two full time Clinical Laboratory Scientists.
Responsibilities- Performs various chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopic, serology/Immunology, molecular testing, bacteriology, and blood bank testing to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Is thoroughly familiar with the calibration, use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Draws venous and capillary blood, and performs drug screen collections according to protocol.
- Performs quality control, preventative maintenance, makes independent decisions, interprets abnormal results, and pursues appropriate follow-up action when variance from the norm.
- Works together with lab and other department staff to create a smooth workflow.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Laboratory Sciences.
- State of Nevada license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
- General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory.
- ASCP or AMT or equivalent certification.
- Basic computer skills.
