Night Audit Lead – Harrah’s Laughlin

The Night Audit Lead oversees the nightly operations of the Front Desk team while performing all essential duties of a Front Desk Clerk. This role ensures accurate financial balancing, smooth overnight guest service, and strong leadership during the resort’s quietest but most critical hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, verify reservations, and complete check‑in and check‑out procedures
  • Prepare registration forms, obtain identification and signatures, and maintain accurate records
  • Assign rooms based on guest needs, preferences, and availability
  • Process billing inquiries, adjustments, and refunds with accuracy and professionalism
  • Block rooms for groups, VIPs, Sales, and Casino departments
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and support to Front Desk Clerks during the overnight shift
  • Ensure all nightly audit procedures are completed accurately and on time
  • Reconcile front desk accounts, credit card batches, room charges, and departmental revenue
  • Prepare and distribute daily management reports, including occupancy and revenue summaries
  • Monitor room inventory, rate integrity, and availability throughout the night
  • Address and resolve guest concerns, complaints, or special requests promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and guest‑ready front desk and lobby environment
  • Assist with emergency procedures and incident reporting when necessary
  • Verify accuracy of all overnight check‑ins, check‑outs, and reservation updates
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure accurate room status
  • Support security by observing guest activity and reporting irregularities
  • Train new overnight front desk team members and provide ongoing coaching
  • Ensure compliance with cash‑handling procedures and maintain secure control of

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises Front Desk Clerks during the overnight shift
  • Provides coaching, support, and task direction to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform all essential duties with accuracy and professionalism
  • Strong knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and guest‑service focus

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One or more years of related hotel front desk or guest service experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must possess and maintain applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or license(s), if required

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

Computer Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems preferred
