Banquet Server
A Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Responsibilities include assisting and preparing in set up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctly, maintaining timeline of events to ensure seamless service, anticipating guests' service needs, following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage, following all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly, maintaining cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, and maintaining complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people;
location of all Golden Nugget function space and names of rooms; all styles of meeting and banquet room settings.
Qualifications include strong communication skills, appropriate professional appearance and demeanor, availability for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, occasional split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours, understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group environments to customers, clients, and or employees of organizations that we serve, and 1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets.
