We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Human Resources Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations and help drive key people-focused programs and initiatives. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely support to employees and leaders.
Position SummaryReporting to the HR Manager, this position will support a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, benefits administration, reporting, and general HR coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion.
What you ll Do- Support daily HR operations and assist with a variety of HR-related projects and initiatives.
- Enter, review, and maintain HRIS transactions while following up on approvals and corrections as needed.
- Audit HR data for accuracy and assist with reporting and recordkeeping.
- Help coordinate recruiting, sourcing, screening, and onboarding activities.
- Prepare and conduct new hire orientation and assist with onboarding follow-up.
- Support employee benefits administration and respond to general benefits questions.
- Draft and distribute employee communications, recruiting materials, newsletters, flyers, posters, and other internal or external content.
- Assist with event planning and employee recognition programs.
- Run reports, schedule meetings, track action items, and support HR process improvements.
- Respond to employee questions and route issues appropriately.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience, ideally in HR or a comparable role; mining industry experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of core HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and training/development.
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred, especially payroll, onboarding, timekeeping, or employee data management modules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly in a changing, high-paced environment.
