Overview
i3 is seeking a skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the MALET JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) system, which is integrated with the MQ‑9 Ground Control Station (GCS). This position supports Air Force and Air National Guard installations across the continental United States (CONUS). The FSR will provide technical expertise, system integration, and software/hardware support for flight simulators, ensuring readiness and effectiveness of RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) training operations.
This role requires strong technical aptitude, familiarity with military systems, and a willingness to travel to support fielded units. The successful candidate will interface directly with system end‑users, ensuring mission success through dependable support and innovation.
Responsibilities- Provide on‑site support for MJAT Trainer systems, including: installation and setup, operational training, and training scenario and documentation development based on current tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Track and maintain system configurations, hardware inventories, and component failures
- Deliver basic system troubleshooting and maintenance training to unit personnel
- Maintain regular contact with supported units and coordinate simulator use for training events
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 + years of experience preferred. Additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
- Proficiency in Windows, UNIX/Linux, VMware ESX, and Java technologies
- Understanding of wired networking concepts
- Intermediate knowledge of Cisco and Juniper firewalls
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms
- Ability to author and maintain technical documentation
- Strong grasp of the systems development life cycle for system sustainment
- Familiarity with RPA Ground Control Systems from a maintainer, operator, or integrator perspective
- Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Active Secret clearance is required.
- Experience applying security controls to Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, including DISA STIG implementation
- Experience with MQ-9 Reaper or legacy MQ-1/MQ-9 simulator maintenance and integration
- Prior exposure to UAV/RPA systems and Air Force RPA GCS variants
- Experience with TACSIT solutions and Internet Relay Chat clients
- Experience with Clear‑Com communication systems
- Networking experience with Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
- Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
