Senior Network Engineer – NAS Fallon, NV

Location: NAS Fallon, NV

Security Clearance Requirement: Top Secret

Telework Eligibility: No – 100% on‑site

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will support a high‑visibility DoD program by helping shape and enforce information system security policies, standards, and methodologies that protect mission‑critical systems.

• Implement operating systems and network device security configurations in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.
• Specify, configure, and administer boundary devices (managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); manage remote switches and routing.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using ACAS, DISA STIG, SCAP Compliance Checker, and automated benchmarks.
• Correct flaws and implement technical controls in hardware or software installed within the network environment.
• Manage, architect, and implement physical networks, including logical need‑to‑know separation between data.
• Work flexible hours as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information System Management from an ABET accredited institution or IA/CS technology field of study; or 9 years of experience as a network technician/engineer on a DISN‑connected DoD network.

• 9 years of experience implementing operating systems and network device security configuration according to DISA guidelines.
• Experience specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices, and managing remote switches and routers.
• Advanced experience conducting vulnerability assessments with ACAS, DISA STIG, SCAP Compliance Checker, and automated benchmarks.
• Experience correcting flaws and implementing technical controls within network environments.
• Extensive experience managing DoD Host‑Based‑Security Systems (HBSS).
• Extensive experience managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks with logical separation of data.
• Advanced knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP).
