RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high-quality ASL interpretation in multiple environments, including healthcare facilities, classrooms, and community events
• Ensure clear and accurate communication by interpreting spoken language to ASL and vice versa, adapting to the specific contexts of each scenario
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards throughout all interpretation assignments
• Develop a strong rapport with clients and understand their unique communication needs
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance interpreting skills and stay updated with industry practices

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and proficient English communication skills
• Preferred certification or formal education in ASL interpretation
• Comprehension of Deaf culture and community dynamics
